Je déteste les queues!!!

Seven hours waiting in a line just to get the student ticket for the metro is definitely to much!!! Three hours yesterday and then in the end, one document was missing. So same thing today... Ah!!!

But now, I've got my timetable, student ID and metro card. Yes! Everything done, I can now travel a little bit...

By the way, this is my university:

Tonight will be my last night here in the hostel =) My suitcases moved already to my future apartment and when I come back to Montreal on Sunday evening, I can also move there.

First impressions

Salut tout le monde!!

Yesterday, I already found a room for the next four months =) (Désolé Vini, il n'y a pas de piscine mais une grande salle de bain) A friend of the cousin of a friend of mine is going on holydays to Europe and I can stay in her room. When I visited the apartment yesterday, I stayed there for three hours... The girl living with her, thus my future flat mate, is really nice. The second flat mate is a musicien but I didn't meet him yet. Maybe I'll be invited to a dinner with them next week. I can move to the room in one week.

By then, I'll stay in the hostel.

I also went to the university yesterday but they only told me there that I have to meet my tutor first before I can get my student ID. I'm going to meet him on tuesday. He's professor and head of a chair but told me call him Steve ;-)

Today, I finally had the time to discover Montreal and walked around the whole afternoon. There's a little bit of Moscow style...

... and also some German writings...
... und es gibt sogar eine Milchbar ;-)
Okay, here are the more typical pictures:

Arrivée!!!

Voilà, I arrived in Montréal today =)

After some troubles at Munich airport, everything went out fine. First of all, I had two kilos overweight on one of my suitcases but the other one was only 15 kilos. Nevertheless, I had to put some clothes from one suitcase to the other one... Then they told us that they can't give us our seat number immediately because the flight was overbooked. But in the end, we were upgraded to the Business Class!!!

I got my study permit really fast and there was even a special information desk for international students at the airport. The hostel is nice and situated near the city center. I share the room in the hostel with Anja, Nadine and a French guy called Maxime.

We wanted to buy SIM cards for our mobile phones but we finally found the store 5 minutes before they closed. But I already arranged everything with the shop assistant, a nice French guy, and we'll get the cards tomorrow morning...

Ah, everything is so exiting!!! I hope I'll find a room quite soon...

A plus! Bisous, geli
